Description

Available in two sizes and a wide range of color combinations, SNAKE can be used as a flower vase or as an art object and designer home décor piece.  V1 – Large: H 38 × Ø 21 cm

SNAKE was created through the collaboration between NasonMoretti and Stefano Marcato , combining the tradition of Murano art glass with a contemporary design approach.

The vase is made of blown Murano glass. Its most distinctive feature is the wide colored band that wraps around the body of the vase in a free, flowing, and sinuous line, creating a striking contrast with the base color of the glass.

The decoration is more than a simple surface pattern. The colored band follows the three-dimensional form of the vase, so its appearance continuously changes depending on the viewing angle.

Light, Color & Movement in the Space

SNAKE is especially striking in the way it interacts with light.

In natural daylight coming from the side, the transparency of the glass becomes more pronounced and the colored band gains greater depth. Where the two colors visually overlap, new shades appear, making the vase look different from every angle.

Under warm evening light, shades such as coral, red, blueberry, and brown become deeper and richer.

Light blue, turquoise, periwinkle, and acid green variations appear especially bright and vibrant in rooms with plenty of natural light.

For this reason, SNAKE works particularly well in a location where it can be viewed from several sides. On a dining table, console table, or freestanding piece of furniture, the movement of the decorative band remains visible from different angles.

Styling the SNAKE Vase with Flowers

SNAKE can be used as an elegant flower vase, but the floral arrangement should complement the glass rather than hide it.

For the V1, 38 cm high, flowers and branches with a strong vertical line work especially well:

calla lilies, lilies, tall tulips, gladioli, decorative branches, or minimalist floral arrangements.

A monochromatic bouquet can also create a very sophisticated look, especially when the flowers echo one of the vase’s two colors or create a deliberate contrast.

The V2, 28 cm highmodel is more versatile and works well with medium-height floral arrangements.

It is best to avoid overly full or highly colorful bouquets that could obscure the distinctive SNAKE pattern.

SNAKE as an art object

SNAKE can also be displayed completely empty.

Its clean form and flowing colored band allow the vase to function as a Murano glass art object, especially when there is some open space around it.

In this setting, the vase needs no additional decorative elements. Its color, transparency, and reflections are enough to create a strong focal point in the room.

How to Style It in Your Interior

Modern and minimalist interiors

Against neutral surfaces — white, gray, cream, or greige — SNAKE becomes a bold color accent.

It is especially effective when used as the only colorful element on a console table or on a piece of furniture with clean, simple lines.

Contemporary Classic

More balanced color combinations, such as Coral–Grey, Sunflower–Brown and Light Blue–Blue, pair easily with marble, natural stone, wood, and neutral fabrics.

Art Deco

More intense combinations, such as Blueberry – Red, Blue – Yellow, or Sunflower – Purple, create a particularly dramatic effect when paired with marble, dark wood, mirrored surfaces, brass, and gold-toned details.

Contemporary and colorful interiors

Combinations such as Coral–Turquoise, Pea Green–Orange or Sky Blue–Acid Green can become the starting point for an entire room’s color palette.

Simply repeat one of the vase’s colors in one or two elements — a painting, throw pillow, armchair, or small accessory — without trying to coordinate the entire room.

Where to Display It

V1 – H 38 × Ø 21 cm: ideal for a wide console table, large dining table, sideboard, dresser, pedestal, or spacious niche.

The two sizes can also be displayed together. Positioned slightly offset from one another, they create a dynamic composition through the difference in height.
