About us
This site brings together the works of seven producers with a recognized name and long experience in Murano art glass. They share three elements: they operate on the island of Murano (Venice, Italy), they have consolidated a reputation for quality and authenticity over time, and many of them continue family traditions handed down from generation to generation.
Euteknos Association and Ecosystem
All the furnaces and workshops presented are part of the RIR Euteknos ecosystem, a network that coordinates companies, research centers, and organizations active in artistic production. Around the Murano furnaces, a complete infrastructure exists: design, marketing, and public relations studios, exhibition and conference organizers, training centers, and legal, logistical, and technical support. This environment helps preserve tradition and develop contemporary design.
The artisans operating in this ecosystem refer to the origin and quality control system linked to the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, an official sign of the Veneto Region introduced in 1994. The original pieces are accompanied by a holographic label with the manufacturer's identification code and the wording «Vetro Artistico® Murano». In many cases, authenticity can be verified online through the seal number via the Consorzio Promovetro Murano.
What distinguishes these seven producers
The main difference between the workshops is the production technique and the artistic school in which each studio works. Just as a painter chooses watercolor, oil, or printmaking, the Murano master chooses the language in which to perfect themselves for years: thin-walled blowing, murrine and millefiori, sommerso, sculptural glass, lampworking, chromatic overlays, engraving, and other complex techniques. Each workshop thus develops its own “signature,” recognizable in the shape, color, glass thickness, line, and finish.
Our goal is not to replace a visit to Murano, but to offer the opportunity to see and purchase authentic works by the masters without having to enter the furnaces or visit Venetian exhibitions. Each piece is handmade, carrying with it centuries of artisan tradition and that special connection to Venice that cannot be industrially reproduced.
