The name Peocio means “mussel” in the Venetian dialect and pays homage to the Venetian Lagoon. Its elongated, asymmetrical form recalls an open shell: one side rises gently, while the dark lines within the glass follow its contours like natural veins.

Murano Filigree Technique

The filigree (filigrana) is a traditional Murano glassmaking technique. Special glass rods containing fine threads of colored glass are incorporated while the glass is hot, becoming an integral part of the finished piece.

In Peocio Andalusia, black lines cross the transparent smoked surface with curved and regular patterns. The ivory areas create a refined contrast , making the bowls especially expressive from every angle.

How to use Peocio Andalusia

The bowls can be used to beautifully display grapes, pears, apples, citrus fruits, pomegranates, or figs. For the best visual effect, avoid filling them completely so that the filigree pattern remains visible.

They are also suitable for wrapped chocolates, candies, nuts, dried fruit, cookies, and small dry pastries.

We do not recommend using the bowls for very hot foods, soups, sauces, liquids, or strongly pigmented foods.

The two bowls can also be displayed together, slightly offset and oriented in different directions to create a small sculptural composition in Murano glass.
