The Scuba Collection by Yalos Murano brings together nine coordinated pieces in authentic Murano artistic glass, designed as a single decorative composition. The set includes bowls, decorative plates, and an artistic vase that share the same color palette and formal language inspired by seashells.

Each piece is entirely handcrafted by master glassmakers on the island of Murano. The glass is worked at high temperatures and shaped using the traditional Cartoccio (Folded Glass) technique, which allows for soft, folded, and asymmetrical shapes. During the process, Scuba Green spirals and decorative murrine are inserted and fused directly into the glass. The surface is finally finished with a delicate mother-of-pearl effect, which enhances the depth of the glass and changes its reflections depending on the light.

The collection includes four decorative bowls, three artistic plates, and a matching vase. Technical Specifications

Crafting Technique.
The pieces are handcrafted from Murano glass by hot-molding the glass mass. Thin glass threads and filaments in contrasting hues are incorporated into the transparent colored glass and, during the modeling process, they stretch, curve, and wrap themselves around the shape. The decoration thus appears integrated into the material itself, creating depth and movement. The manual process also gives each piece subtle variations that emphasize its uniqueness.

Color.
The dominant tone is an intense turquoise-aquamarine, which varies from the deep green-blue of the sea to lighter, more transparent areas. Shades of azure, emerald, and cool blue emerge within the thickness of the glass. Milky-white and opalescent inclusions enhance the sense of depth, recalling sunlight reflections and foam on the surface of the sea.

Decorative Pattern.
The distinctive motif of the Scuba collection is formed by a pattern of thin, interwoven filaments. The lines follow diagonal directions, intersecting to intersect to create an openwork lattice, and, in the circular shapes, converging in a spiral motion. The white and light blue filaments stand out against the transparent turquoise background, evoking ocean currents, eddies and moving water flows.
