Production Technique

Each plate is created by manually arranging hundreds of Millefiori murrine in shades of black, white, anthracite grey, amber and ivory.

The murrine are individually oriented and arranged to build the geometric pattern, then fused at high temperature to form a unified surface. Creating the composition requires careful control of both the orientation of the individual sections and the temperature during the fusing process to preserve the pattern and its color contrast.

The geometry of the murrine creates a three-dimensional optical effect that changes with the light and viewing angle.

Because the murrine are arranged by hand, slight variations occur among the 6 plates. Each piece maintains the same graphic structure and color palette while remaining individually distinct as a natural result of the handcrafted process.

The geometric pattern in black, white, anthracite gray, amber, and ivory creates a graphic accent in the table setting and works particularly well as a backdrop for foods with natural colors.
