Production Technique

Le Millefiori murrine are made from polychrome glass rods. During production, the glass rods are prepared, drawn into long canes, and then cut crosswise into thin sections to create the individual murrine. The murrine are arranged by hand to form a mosaic composition and are then fused together at high temperature.

Because each composition is assembled by hand, slight variations occur in the placement of the murrine. As a result, no two individual pieces are perfectly identical. These variations are a natural characteristic of the handcrafted production process.

Effect on the Table and in the Interior

The multicolored murrine create a distinctive pattern, making both the plates and Hashioki chopstick rests visually recognizable elements of the table setting. The set can be used as a colorful accent on the table and works well with interiors in Contemporary Italian, Japandi, Modern Luxury, Minimal Contemporary, Mediterranean Design, and Luxury Kitchen styles.

For a coordinated table setting, the set can be paired with Goto de Fornasa tradition, Millefiori tumblers, Murano glass carafes, coordinating bowls, table centerpieces, artistic serving trays, and glass napkin rings.
