The The Fazzoletto Millefiori Rosso Giallo vase is an authentic piece of Vetro Artistico di Murano, handcrafted by Murano Design. The distinctive Fazzoletto form is recognized by its wavy, asymmetrical rim, shaped while the glass is still molten. The result is a soft, fluid profile that changes in appearance depending on the viewing angle.

The making process involves several stages. The glass is mouth-blown, transferred to a punty rod, and shaped by hand. Millefiori murrine are made from multicolored glass canes, cut into small cross-sections and fused into the glass during the hot-working process. Each floral motif is therefore an integral part of the glass rather than a decoration applied to its surface.

Ruby red, lemon yellow, and clear glass create a luminous contrast that highlights the depth of the murrine. Slight variations in the distribution of the patterns, glass thickness, and shape of the rim are natural characteristics of handcrafted glass and make each vase unique.
