"Sometimes, all it takes is a few colorful glasses to completely change the mood at the table. Murano glass catches the light and the glimmer of sunshine, bringing the colors to life and turning even the simplest table setting into a little Venetian celebration. Because every home deserves a touch of dolce vita!"

The Twist Set by NasonMoretti is an exclusive glassware set featuring 4 glasses for water and wine and 1 matching carafe, entirely handcrafted from authentic Murano glass.

Designed by Matteo Zorzenoni, the Twist collection offers a contemporary interpretation of historic Filigrana Veneziana: slender rods of colored glass are incorporated into the glass during the making process, following the form in an elegant spiral movement.

The result is a light, luminous, and instantly recognizable set in which color and transparency continually shift with the light. Each piece is handcrafted in Murano and features subtle variations that make it unique.

Why Is the Twist Set So Special?

Filigree is one of the most fascinating techniques in the Venetian glassmaking tradition. During the process, extremely thin rods of colored glass are incorporated into the still-hot glass and then shaped through the movement and rotation of the glass itself.

In the Twistcollection, filigree becomes an integral part of the design: the colored lines appear to wrap around the glass, creating an elegant sense of movement.

The technique demands exceptional precision, as the master glassmaker must simultaneously control the temperature, blowing, form, and direction of the decorative lines. For this very reason, subtle variations from one piece to another are not imperfections, but evidence of authentic handcraftsmanship.

The Heritage of NasonMoretti Glassmaking

Founded in Murano in 1923, NasonMoretti is one of Venice’s historic glassmakers, renowned for its exploration of color and its ability to bring traditional Murano techniques into dialogue with contemporary design.

The Twist collection, designed by Matteo Zorzenoni, perfectly expresses this philosophy: a historic technique such as filigree is transformed into a clean, modern graphic element that fits effortlessly into contemporary interiors.
