“Three Murano glass creations — three time-honored techniques, three secrets of Venetian glass masters, and three unique expressions of light, color, and form in your home!”

A set of three original pieces crafted from authentic Murano glass, entirely handmade by the master glassmakers of the historic NasonMorettimanufactory. Distinct forms and glassmaking techniques offer three different interpretations of light, transparency, and material through some of the most representative techniques of the Murano tradition.

Designed by Italian designer Matteo Zorzenoni, the Blow Bowl collection brings together three creations that can be used for table styling, as decorative objects, or as collectible design pieces.

1. Blow Bowl Balloton

Dimensions

  • Height: 10.5 cm

  • Diameter: 30 cm

  • Approximate weight: approximately 2.5–3 kg

The surface is created using the historic Balloton technique. Molten glass is blown into a specially engraved metal mold, which impresses a distinctive raised geometric pattern onto the surface.

The process requires precise control of the blowing, rotation of the blowpipe, and temperature of the glass. The result is a three-dimensional, faceted texture that transforms the way both color and light are perceived.

In natural light, the raised pattern enhances the depth of the glass color; under evening lighting, the facets refract the light, creating a pattern of softer yet more intense reflections.

It can be used as centerpiece, serving bowl, or decorative objectin both contemporary and more traditional interiors.

    2. Large Blow Bowl — Ottico Torsè (Twisted Optic)

    Dimensions

    • Height: 22 cm

    • Diameter: 18 cm

    • Approximate weight: approximately 2–2.5 kg

The bowl is crafted using the Ottico Torsè technique, also known as Twisted Optic. Twisted Optic.

After creating the optical pattern, the master glassmaker applies a controlled twist to the glass while it is still molten. This rotation transforms the original lines into a spiral structure while maintaining their regularity throughout the shaping process.

The spirals capture and refract light from different angles, creating a sense of movement that changes with the viewing angle and the surrounding light.

Used as centerpiece, decorative cup or art object, it creates a focal point and introduces visual movement into an interior composition.

      3. Tall Blow Bowl Vase — Ottico

      Dimensions

      • Height: 24 cm

      • Diameter: 12 cm

      • Approximate weight: approximately 1.5–2 kg

The vase is crafted using the traditional Ottico technique, one of the characteristic techniques of Murano art glass.

The vertical grooves created during the glassblowing process act like a series of optical lenses, refracting light and visually transforming the intensity, transparency, and depth of the color.

The vase can hold floral arrangements or be displayed on its own as a decorative and design object. Its vertical geometry and clean proportions express the distinctive design language of Matteo Zorzenoni’s Blow Bowl collection.

Three techniques from the Murano tradition

The set brings together three different Murano glass processes:

        • Balloton technique — a raised geometric texture that multiplies the refraction of light;

        • Ottico technique — vertical grooves that enhance transparency and depth;

        • Ottico Torsè technique — a spiral optical structure that creates movement and changing effects of light.

Placed together, the three techniques reveal how different surface treatments can transform the same material: from the geometric texture of Balloton to the vertical rhythm of Ottico and the dynamic twist of Ottico Torsè. The appearance of each piece changes throughout the day in response to both natural and artificial light.

          NasonMoretti and Matteo Zorzenoni

The Blow Bowl, designed by Matteo Zorzenoni, is produced by NasonMoretti, the historic Murano glassmaker founded in 1923 and associated with the tradition of handcrafted Venetian glass for more than a century.

The set brings together the technical heritage of Murano glassmaking and contemporary Italian design, offering three coordinated pieces for table styling, interior design, and collecting.

It can also make an exceptional gift for a wedding, anniversary, new home, or other important occasion.

          Included in the Price

Included in the Price quality inspection and individual verification of each piece, a Certificate of Authenticity, and documentation of origin, certified professional packaging for art glass, full insurance, international shipping, after-sales support, and consultation on table styling and interior design.

          Why Choose the Complete Set

Purchasing all three pieces together allows certification, professional packaging, insurance, and international shippingto be combined into a single protected shipment, reducing logistics costs compared with purchasing each piece separately.
