“Six glasses, six different Murano glassmaking techniques, and six ways to discover glass through the light and color of an extraordinary beer. A small museum-quality collection of works of art... but all for you!”

The MARILYN collection draws on NasonMoretti’s decorative heritage, reinterpreting traditional Murano glassmaking techniques in a contemporary way.

The set includes six glasses of the same shape and size, but each has a different texture:

Ottico technique – an optical effect that creates a distinctive play of light

Ottico Torsè technique - a dynamic spiral optical pattern

Torsè – a distinctive spiral texture

Lente – soft optical distortions in the glass

Rigadin – surface marked by regular ribs

Balloton technique – three-dimensional relief motif

The result is a harmonious yet varied set in which each glass retains its own distinctive character.

Technique and workmanship

MARILYN glasses are handcrafted from Murano glassusing six different decorative techniques based on traditional hot-glass working methods.

The decoration is not simply applied to the surface: the glass itself is shaped differently to create optical effects, twists, ribs and reliefs.

The collection can be described as follows:

Handcrafted Murano glass with Ottico, Ottico Torsè, Torsè, Lente, Rigadin and Balloton textures.

Light, transparency and color of beer

One of the most fascinating aspects of MARILYN is the way each texture alters the perception of light and the drink.

When the glass is empty, the relief, twists and optical deformations of the glass take centre stage.

When filled with a pale, golden, or amber beer, the color of the drink becomes part of the design: the light passes through the glass and refracts differently on each texture.

Le superfici Optician and Rigadin create a more pronounced rhythm of light and reflections, while Torsè and Ottico Torsè emphasize a sense of movement. Balloton technique Balloton enhances the play of highlights and reflections through its textured relief, while Lente creates softer, more fluid optical distortions.

Finally, the white head adds further contrast, enhancing the transparency of the glass and the color of the beer.

How to use the MARILYN set

MARILYN was designed as a beer glass setand is well suited for serving a variety of pale and amber beers.

It can also be used for:

non-alcoholic beer, mineral water, lemonade, tonic, iced tea, and other cold drinks.

Its elegant shape and transparent glass make MARILYN suitable for both casual table settings and more refined serving or tasting occasions.

CANOVA in the Table Setting

Light Table Setting

On white, beige, or natural linen, the glass appears light and refined. Textures emerge through shadows, reflections, and the color of the drink itself.

Dark Table Setting

On dark wood, black, graphite, or stone surfaces, the details of the glasswork become more pronounced, especially the Rigadin, Ottico, and Balloton textures.

Contemporary style

MARILYN pairs beautifully with minimalist ceramics, wood, stone, metal, and neutral textiles, creating a contemporary table setting without the need for excessive decoration.

Contemporary Classic

In white porcelain, marble, silver and natural linen, the set takes on a more elegant and sophisticated character.

In the bar cabinet and in the display case

MARILYN retains its decorative appeal even when the glasses are not in use.

Displayed together in a glass cabinet, on a sideboard, or in a bar cabinet as a decorative collection in their own right, the six glasses resemble a small collection showcasing different Murano glassmaking techniques.

The common shape unites them, while the different textures make the set decorative even when empty.

Soft side or interior lighting in a display cabinet beautifully highlights the reliefs and optical effects of the glass.

An original gift idea

MARILYN is a refined Made in Italy gift for those who love beer, design and artistic glass.

It makes an elegant elegant gift for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, housewarming, or other special occasion, as well as for anyone who appreciates beer and Italian design..

What makes this set particularly special is that each glass showcases a different traditional Murano glassmaking technique.

Care Instructions

To preserve the brilliance and beauty of the glass over time, we recommend gentle hand washing with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft sponge.

Avoid abrasive cleaners and direct contact between glasses during washing or storage.
